Dinos-Bisons Stats
by John Gaudes, Bisons Sports Info Assistant
WINNIPEG - Honoring their seniors before the game, the unranked Manitoba Bisons (3-15) were happy to be home for the last game at Investors Group Athletic Centre of the 2011-12 season. They were not able to overcome the unranked Calgary Dinos (13-5), which won their sixth straight conference game, 73-52.
For the second straight night, it was the inside presence of Dinos forward Alex Cole that proved unstoppable. She led all scorers, with 22 points, and her physicality proved difficult to deal with.
Manitoba, who lost their twelfth straight conference game, couldn’t find an answer for the Dinos depth at the forward spot. Leading the way for Manitoba, in her last home game, was senior Mubo Ilelaboye with 17 points.
The Bisons now travel to Saskatchewan for a series against the Huskies on Feb. 10 and 11. The Calgary Dinos continue take on the Winnipeg Wesmen at home next Friday and Saturday.
