  • The Cougars finally found their offense scoring eight goals in two games againstthe Dinos this past week. 

  • Mount Royal managed a two-game sweep of Calgary, taking three of four off their bitter cross-town rivals. 

  • With two wins over Lethbridge last weekend, the Pandas jumped several teams and into first place in the conference.  

  

THE SERIES: 

Alberta has never lost to Mount Royal in regulation. The Pandas are 9-0-1 against Mount Royal over the past three seasons.

With Regina slumping and the Cougars on a winning streak, Mount Royal has revived their playoff life. They are still 12 points behind Regina but there are 24 points on the table for the taking 

ReannaArnold has taken over the scoring lead after a three point night against the Dinos on Friday. Her eight assists are more than any other teammate has points.  

After a shaky start to the season, Jess Ross has found her groove. The fourth year goaltender was outstanding at the Saddledome on Thursday night in the Cougars 3-2 defeat of the Dinos.  
 
ALBERTA PANDAS(13-1-6-0, 1stin Canada West) 
 
Line mates Jessica Kampjes(11G, 8A) and Hannah Olenyk(7G, 11A) lead one of the most balanced attacks in women’s hockey. Six players on the Pandas have hit double digits in points this season.  

Alberta has scored aleague-high 61 goals this season. They can also keep the puck out of the net, giving up a league-best 27 goals.  

Lindsay Post has been a pillar in goal for the Pandas. The third year netminderhas started all 20 games for Alberta and has posted a whopping seven shutouts.
