CALGARY- The University of Calgary Dinos are looking to get back into the win column as they take on the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns Friday evening at the Markin MacPhail Center in Calgary. The Dinos host a home-and-home series with the Pronghorns.
The Dinos lost both games last weekend at home where they took on the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds; their record now sits at 1-3. The Dinos will have to prepare to take on a Pronghorn team that is producing offensively; the Pronghorns have a 5-1 record.

Cougars look for first-ever win against Pandas

Justin McCaffrey, MRU Athletics

CALGARY - The MRU women's program currently sits in a playoff spot due to a pair of wins against Manitoba, one of the strongest teams in the conference. The Cougars showed they could compete with any team in the league this weekend and are looking to make their first ever playoff appearance in their four year Canada West history.

THE SERIES: The Pandas have dominated the Cougars in their twelve all-time meetings, going 11-0-1.

'Birds host playoff rematch with Bisons this weekend

Rachel Villari, Thunderbirds Athletics

VANCOUVER – The UBC Thunderbirds women's hockey team returns home for a weekend series matchup against the Manitoba Bisons. Hoping to continue their strong start to the season, the 'Birds look to add to their current four-game winning streak with a pair of victories at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre.
Last time the Bisons were in town, UBC fell 2-1 in Game 3 of the Canada West semifinals and was eliminated from the postseason. Head coach Graham Thomas views the end of last season as part of the motivation to win this weekend, but knows it cannot be the team's main focus.
