EDMONTON – Tyler Chow headlines the final Canada West football players of the week, as the fifth-year running back helped carry the Saskatchewan Huskies to the program's first Hardy Cup title since 2006.
Chow rushed for 222 yards in Saskatchewan's 43-18 win over the Calgary Dinos Saturday in the 82nd Hardy Cup, as the Huskies handed the previously undefeated Dinos their first loss of the season.
Along with Chow, Saskatchewan defensive back Nelson Lokombo and kicker Sean Stenger were also honoured as conference players of the week.
Lokombo made a key pick late in the first half, intercepting Calgary quarterback Adam Sinagra. Lokombo ran the ball down to the Calgary one yard line, setting up Chow for a quick plunge into the end zone on the next play.
Meanwhile, Stenger accounted for 13 Saskatchewan points in the victory, while also pinning the Dinos inside their own 20 once on the afternoon.
Saskatchewan's next test is a stiff one, as they travel to London, Ont. to take on the defending Vanier Cup champion Western Mustangs in the U SPORTS Mitchell Bowl. The national semifinal is set for Saturday, Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. CST.

Fifth-year running back Tyler Chow made the most of his first trip to the Hardy Cup, as the Calgary product helped rush the Saskatchewan Huskies to a dominant 43-18 win over the Calgary Dinos Saturday in the 82nd Hardy Cup.
Chow, who played at Calgary's Notre Dame High School, posted a Canada West season-high 222 rushing yards, while finding the end zone twice for Saskatchewan.
This season's CW regular season rushing king with 640 yards, Chow was too much for the Dinos to handle in the conference championship game, as the Huskies earned their first Hardy Cup since 2006.

Ball hawk Nelson Lokombo was on point Saturday against the Dinos, as the second-year defensive back earned a key interception in Saskatchewan's 43-18 win over Calgary in the Hardy Cup.
The Abbotsford, B.C. native intercepted Calgary quarterback Adam Sinagra late in the second quarter, running the ball back 43 yards, before being tackled at the Calgary one yard line.
The Huskies would punch the ball in on the next play to take an 18-8 lead.
Lokombo was part of Saskatchewan's one-two interception punch this season, tying teammate Josh Hagerty for the conference lead in picks with three, along with UBC's Stavros Katsantonis. Hagerty also had a pick on the day, as four different Huskies earned interceptions.

While kicker Sean Stenger wasn't called on for an overtime winner Saturday like he was two weeks ago vs. UBC, he nonetheless did his part for the Saskatchewan Huskies in the 82nd Hardy Cup.
The veteran was 2-for-3 on field goals, 5-for-5 on extra points, while adding two rouges to finish with 13 total points in Saskatchewan's win.
Stenger, who used a 38-yard OT field goal in the conference semis to lift the Huskies to their first Hardy Cup appearance since 2009, also added one punt inside the Calgary 20.
