SASKATOON – University of Saskatchewan goaltender Jordon Cooke made 40 saves to lift the No. 3 ranked Huskies 2-0 over the visiting University of Calgary Dinos Saturday night.

The two-time U SPORTS goaltender of the year made nine saves in the first, 17 in the second frame and 14 in the third for his 10th career shutout and third of the season. The 10 career shutouts match Jeff Harvey's Huskie team record set in 2010 and ties him for third in the Canada West with Harvey and former Alberta Golden Bear Kurtis Mucha.

With the win and weekend sweep, the Huskies improve to 18-3-1 and clinch a home playoff date in either the quarter-final or semifinal rounds. The Dinos drop to 6-13-3. A night earlier, the Huskies won 4-1.

MacKenzie Johnston opened the scoring in the game at 7:22 in the second period. His one-timer beat Matthew Greenfield after a long rebound into the slot. The Huskies took the 2-0 lead at 4:18 in the third period. Canada West leading scorer Josh Roach was able to tip a Colby Harmsworth shot that slipped by an out of position Greenfield.

Calgary had a power play with under four minutes left in the game when Logan McVeigh was called for boarding. The Dinos pulled Greenfield to take a chance with a 6-on-4 advantage, but couldn't solve Cooke. Saskatchewan missed the empty net twice in the final minute.

Greenfield made 24 saves in the loss for the Dinos.

The Huskies travel to Vancouver to meet the UBC Thunderbirds next weekend, while the Dinos return home for a cross-town series with the Mount Royal Cougars.
