TRU assistant coach Chuck Ferguson:

On the Contest: "We came out all right. Our shooting percentage being half of what theirs was and giving up 29 turnovers which resulted in at least 20 of their points put us in a big hole. We have to take better of the rock. We have to be better on the glass and on our defensive assignments that we were tonight."

UBC head coach Deb Huband:

On the Game: " We are happy to get the win and start league play off right. Being the first league game, everyone is a bit nervous. It takes a while to get your execution and your team play organized. I thought the third quarter where our defensive tenacity gave us a bit of an advantage. Everyone contributed. We had a lot of energy and a lot of compete and they had some fun out there which is nice to see."
