CALGARY - University of Calgary Basketball will host Pack the Jack on Thursday night, with the women's team set to face off versus the Fraser Valley Cascades at 8 p.m.
Both teams are hoping to bring the heat, as both teams have won seven games and lost three, standing at 14 points each. Adding to the excitement is the two-day rivalry- Calgary will host Fraser Valley on both Thursday and Friday night at the Jack Simpson Gymnasium.
In Edmonton last weekend, the Dinos were unable to overcome the No. 1 Alberta Pandas, suffering a heartbreaking defeat. However, on Saturday night, Calgary showcased plenty of skill and determination as they played at home, handing the Pandas their first loss of the season, after fighting out a nail-biting 60-57 win.

LETHBRIDGE - Coming off their first weekend sweep in more than two years, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's basketball team will be at home again this weekend hosting the defending National Champion Saskatchewan Huskies.

The 'Horns and Huskies will hit the hardwood at the 1st Choice Savings Centre Friday night at 6:00pm and Saturday at 5:00pm. Saturday night will also be the women's basketball "Shoot for the Cure" night with the team wearing Pink Jerseys, selling 50/50 during the women's and men's games and hosting a silent auction.

With the sweep last weekend of the UNBC Timberwolves, the 'Horns (4-8) moved into a tie for 11th in Canada West and a playoff position with eight games remaining. Saturday night, the Pronghorns rallied from a 21 point deficit to earn their first sweep since October 31 – November 1, 2014 when the Pronghorn swept Brandon Bobcats in Brandon.
