TRU Assistant Coach Chuck Ferguson:

On the Contest:

'Great second half. I wish we did that in the first half and came out with that same intensity. It would have been a different outcome. Winning the second half was nice. We dug a little bit of a hole in the first half and didn't have quite the guns to get out of it. We certainly came close.

On Gutsy Play:

"We talked about it at half time. We needed to come out with a little more heart and a lot more energy. The girls were the ones who were doing the talking not us. They came out and said what they were going to do. They had a much better second half.  It was pretty clear that they were trying to grind it out. A couple of extra minutes in the game and they might have done that."

Calgary head coach Damian Jennings (5th year):

On the difference in the game:

"We did enough in the first half to see this game through. Great comeback by TRU. Great respect on the way they played. They shot the ball with confidence and capitalized on our mistakes.  Disappointed with our play in the second half."

Being Patient with Young Players

"It is a bit of a patience job. I think the thing we will be most disappointed about this game is how some of our older players performed.  They made some errors today. But you have to be in those games to see the mistakes. To be honest we haven't been in that position much this year."

This was the final home game of the year for the WolfPack.

Next weekend (Feb 10-11) Thompson Rivers will head to Regina to play the Cougars while the Dinos will entertain MacEwan University Griffins.

This game was the conclusion of the "TRU WolfPack/97.5 River- 80's,90's and Wow Weekend."  It was also TRU's " Basketball Alumni  Night" where a special VIP section was set up near the Warner Rentals Court.
