Huskies aim to top No. 1 T-Birds again on Play for a Cure Night

SASKATOON - The Saskatchewan Huskies welcome the top ranked team in U SPORTS women's hockey this weekend, as the No. 1-ranked UBC Thunderbirds head east for a pair of games at Rutherford Rink.

Friday night marks Saskatchewan's annual Play for a Cure Night, as the team is raising funds for hoc la Cure in support of the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.



Pandas host Dinos on Bell Let's Talk night

EDMONTON -  For the first time in nearly two months, the University of Alberta Pandas Hockey team will play on home ice, as they battle the Calgary Dinos in a home-and-home series this weekend.

The 10-4-3-3 Pandas will open the series at home on Friday, hosting the 2-14-1-3 Dinos at 7:00 p.m. at Clare Drake Arena. The Dinos will host the second half of the series Saturday night in Calgary. 



No. 6 Bisons welcome Pronghorns to town

WINNIPEG - The No. 6 Bison women's hockey team is at home this weekend, as they host the Lethbridge Pronghorns on January 20-21 at the Wayne Fleming Arena (U of M Fort Garry campus).

Puck drop versus the Pronghorns will be 7 p.m. CT on Friday and 1 p.m. CT on Saturday. Tickets are available at the arena door. The University of Manitoba Bisons has designated Friday's game their Bell Let's Talk event.



The battle of the Cougars gets underway at FCA on Friday night

CALGARY - Mount Royal has a chance to catch and pass Regina in the Canada West standings this weekend. If Mount Royal is able to take all six regulation points from Regina they would move into fifth place in the conference. The Cougars have all but locked up a playoff spot and are now looking to improve their standing within the conference.
